HAWKLOK system successfully completes crush testing by Smithers Rapra.

HAWKLOK grids were put through a comprehensive testing programme by Smithers Rapra to validate the strength and durability of the product.
Smithers Rapra is an independent world leading rubber and plastic consultancy. Their extensive experience of testing and validating new products and ability to devise bespoke testing made them a natural choice for HAWKLOK.

The test programme involved measuring the crush resistance of HAWKLOK grids using various size wooden joists. The results demonstrated a minimum crush resistance of 3.6 tonnes using 44mm joists.

A HAWKLOK grid resisted an even pressure over one whole grid of 22.3 tonnes - the maximum pressure the jig was capable of applying.

HAWKLOK hot tub trials - a complete success.

HAWKLOK was successfully used to install a traditional timber hot tub. After several months of use, no uneven settlement or other problems have arisen, despite the huge weight of water supported.

Following this trial, HAWKLOK grids have been used by various customers in the installation of modern Jaccuzzi style tubs, with excellent feedback.

Unlike traditional foundations, the ease with which HAWKLOK can be moved to accommodate last minute changes in siting has been highly praised.
